Au bord de l'eau

Two children at the river's edge, the water broken into pink and green touches. Foliage occupies the upper half of the canvas in dense, staccato strokes, while the water below is scraped almost flat, its surface built from opalescent pinks and greys. The two small figures, painted in a few red and yellow marks, give the scale of a summer afternoon.
